About Minga

Minga has more than 30 years of experience as a mind body coach and yoga therapist. She holds a BA in psychology from Yale University with a pre-med focus. She has studied and taught Traditional Thai medicine, Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT), and guides iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation. Her work is grounded in the ancient philosophy of Vedanta, the structure underlying yoga and much of Eastern thought and scientific inquiry. She has a medical understanding of anatomy, physiology and psychology.

minga’s work invites a deep understanding of the systems in which we are rooted and currently live. Her work celebrates the unique ability of each person to engage in natural healing processes and to develop a practice of self-care from which optimal health and harmony can emerge. She holds a BA in psychology from Yale University with a pre-med focus. 

Currently she teaches Body Sanctuary classes bringing a functional approach to therapeutic somatic movement, fascial release, self massage and personalized care to each person in class.  For personalized delving into healing, harmonizing and integration private sessions are available via zoom and in person.

She is also deeply exploring the myriad transformations of selves through menopause.

Minga spent her childhood in Asia, growing up primarily in Thailand.  After graduatinig from University she, returned to Thailand to study indigenous healing practices. Today, Minga lives in Portland, Oregon, where she revels in the beauty of the First Nations Lands on which we are living. She is multiracial of Southern Black lineage, Muscogee and Cherokee.
